I doubt REI has the Lowa Sheephunters, but they do carry other Lowa boots.  SO try on the beefiet Lowa they carry to test for fit. If your feet like them, you will probably have to mail order the Sheephunters.  I got mine from Schnees out of Montana.

How deep is your creek? If you are actually walking in the creek itself and it is a smaller stream, I'd just wear the boots and recommend wearing gaiters with them.
