no such thing as 2006-07 license
Posted by Byron_Lamb on Nov 19 2005
Mr. Strahan you made a mistake. There is no such thing as a multi-year hunting license; 2006-07 License, no such thing.

A hunting license is good for one calendar year. Come Decemeber 31st, 2005, your 2005 hunting license expires.

A regulatory year, regarding hunting in Alaska, is valid July 1st through June 30th.

ALL metal locking big game tags are valid for a calendar year, regardless if you're a resident or non-resident. Many different spieces seasons' overlaps the calendar, which is common in many GMU's.

Harvest tickets are based on a regulatory year.

This can be confusing........@!@

Come Jan. 1st 2006 everyone needs a new hunting license.

I agree w/ many of the other posts. Hunting in Alaska is cheap and we're selling ourselves short. Alaska is one of the most premeire hunting desinations in the world. A large increase in hunting license & tags fee's will help put money back into our resources.

Good Hunting..>Byron Lamb
