TSA rumaging through your guncase
Posted by 379 Peterbilt on Nov 22 2005
I flew outta Fairbanks in late Setp too. As everyone knows, you are required to leave your guncase unlocked so that the TSA inspectors can rumage through everything. They do this in another room. I was always under the impression that you could not be present durring the "inspection", but have since heard that you can ask to be present.

I cannot verify yet that is is a right we have, but I will always ask regardless in the future to be present. Cant hurt to ask.

After I spend 30 minutes arranging everything in my case (lots of extras in there) at the hotel the night before, it kills me to watch them (through the window in another room) spend 3 minutes raping my gear, throw it all back in all messed up, and slam the door lid shut. After I get it home and open it up, everything is all chaffed up from rubbing each other.

Oh, I flew to Ak with 2 unspent shells as carryon (my mistake). They never caught it, however they did detect my metal belt and money clip. Thats how good they are, haha

Next time, I'm gonna try and sneak my zippo along instead. Haha (Just kidding)
