Yes and No

John,

Actually this is one of those topics we'll come back to many times I'm sure.  That's because the standards keep changing.  For example, when we talked about this in detail last time, there were some changes regarding lighters and matches.  Some of that has been resolved since then, but will probably change again.  Zippo has an exemption from the liquid fuel lighter ban (you can bring two as long as they're in an approved container).  TSA /DOT, Etc. were going to totally ban matches, then it was going to be two books of safety matches, and they finally settled on four books of safety matches.  Stuff like that.

Another thing to keep in mind is that we have lots of new folks coming here every day.  This is the largest site on the entire net focused on Alaska hunting and fishing, so it's good to keep important topics like this up front.

So as long as this stuff keeps changing, and as long as new folks keep coming, it's good to stay on top of it.  It has a direct effect on hunters and fishers traveling to Alaska.

Regards,

-Mike
