What bothers my about this post is that troopers have radios and cell phones and most if not all have laptop computers with who knows what kind of information at their finger tips.  Not too mention the fact that they have direct link up with a 24/7 dispatch who has phone numbers on the books of people in the know about wildlife code. Even a rooky could have an answer within minutes.

If the moose would have spoiled you can dam sure bet that Barny Five would have not gotten the wanton waist charge!!

For most officers it only takes a few minutes to do a through job and find out the facts.

Is this too much to ask of all law enforcement?
