globalstar coverage
Posted by Alasken on Nov 25 2005
It's odd the globalstar people would say their coverage up here isn't good. I'm not doubting what you guys are saying, just find it odd.

From my personal experience, I would recommend the globalstar to anyone up here. I find it reliable, and like I said before it's much cheaper to use than the iridium system. The plan I'm on is about $54/month which includes 120 minutes and voice mail. Any call in the US is a local call. One downside of the globalstar system is that it's pretty much a north America system, unlike the iridium, which is worldwide. But for up here it works just fine.
