Kuiu blackies
Posted by Bighorse on Nov 27 2005
I'm heading to Kuiu the first week of May for Blackie.  I'm putting my 17' skiff onboard the ferry and launching in Kake.  I'm after a large blackie but don't want to fight with charter operations.  What coves and bays would you recomend that would lend themselves to a guy willing to put in some foot work and has some nice boars.  I hunt SE alot and know how to get around the islands.  I know thats a tough question and why they call it Hunting and not shooting. I've just not been around that island before so if I could reduce my travels and focus my glassing that would help.
How active is a blackie durring the day in May?
