Handgun
Posted by rost495 on Nov 28 2005
I'm not intending this to flare up the thread, but IMHO, a Smith 329PD weighs next to nothing, and is very handy to have along when bowhunting.  Along with the fact that I could take a caribou etc.. out to 100 yards if I wanted to, and could harvest ptarmigan etc... its peace of mind to boot.  And at least a chance. I'd rather have the chance to stick a 300 grain in there somewhere at the last second. I will always go down fighting with a chance.  Even if that chance means only a knife.

Now if hunting with a rifle, I see no need at all for a handgun.  Extra weight and provides nothing valuable.

My 2 cents, Jeff
