thanks Johnny,

I was thinkign more of mainland.  The cost to drive to Haines, ferry down, etc etc is going to be to high without sacrificing another hunt to pull this one off.  At this point I dont see that happening.

My thought was to get to a point like say tustamena lake and paddle, hike and glass, or float a creek/river, or possibly run a bait if all else fails.  Just a little something to get away, maybe find a decent bear I could get on.  At this point I am more inclined to spot and stalk which is unfortunate I cannot get to SE.   Someday.......
