Old solo hunters.
Posted by Spawner on Nov 30 2005
I'm just starting to head into fresh water, probably retire from the daily grind next year, and I'm wondering what I've got to look forward to for longevity in hunting on my own.

I'd like to hear from any of you Alaska hunters that are a little further up stream than I am, say 65+ or so. Do you still do solo hunts, what type of hunts (goat? sheep? walk in? fly in? airboat/jetsled?), if you've gone to more "party" or guided hunts, how you condition for season and that kind of stuff.

I'm thinking maybe keep going solo until I can't do it then go guided then hunt deer/elk down south, then birds, then take up winter King fishing. By then hopefully I'll be all spawned out ;o)

I've been folloing the forum for a couple years but this is my first post, so I'd like to thank all of the "pros" (both professionals and amateurs) that have provided so much help (and entertainment on occasion ;o) over the last couple years. Good on you all!

Next: Sounds good! Spawner Dec 03 2005
