Old timers
Posted by JCR on Dec 01 2005
My friends and mentors, Andy Runyan and Ray McNutt were 76 and 80 last
year when they died. They held Alaska Master Guide licenses 34 and 38.
Ray retired about 4 years ago and Andy was still actively guiding and hunting sheep, goats, blacktail deer and guiding brown bear hunts on
Kodiak and the Alaska Peninsula. Ray died unexpectedly after a fall
on the ice and Andy died in a car accident, but they were both still tough as nails and giving it their all in the field. Best of luck to you.
