You will not be "feeling better" w/ "extra" on a Moose hunt or any other hunt that may have what some would term hard hunting Alaskan logistics.  Keep weight/space to a minimum - think double duty on any equipment you take - extra iron is not necessary.

Noticed some talk about close quarter handgun advantage...  NONSENSE!
A handy long gun is the goto gun - rifle - carbine - shotgun.

Bring a trusty rifle - call it good!

Extra for the rifle could be your best scope in QR rings and iron sights on the gun.
