people backing out on hunts
Posted by fishermann222 on Dec 07 2005
How many of you have trouble with people backing out on hunts?  I had 5 other guys interested in a fall hunt for caribou/grizzly this fall.  After I made the reservations with the transporter and told him a check was on the way I called my buddies and family members to get a down payment.  Suddenly everybody can come up with ever excuse not to go.

This is very frustrating as I have spent alot of time trying to get things put together for this hunt, and they all agreed they wanted to go.  Now tonight I had to call the transporter and say I am sorry but I will not be sending you a check because everyone backed out.  Luckily the transporter understood and was glad I got back to him so soon, I say luckily because he runs a great business and I want to use him in the future.

I am not sure why I am posting this, I guess it is to try and relieve some frustration.  Does this happen to you guys alot also?  Everyone wants to go until it is time to pony up the funds?

Next: I'm keeping these! jklingel Dec 08 2005
