I hear you!

Been there, done that. I have tried to plan so many hunts over the years and the same thing that happened to you happens to me. I am the kind of person that will plan and execute a hunt in 24 hours and my work and funds coincide with my plan (thankfully). Finding a reliable hunting partner/partners is tough to do. Especially with fly in hunts where you need a few guys to cut down the cost. The monetary factor is a big one, but a lot of guys are tightly controlled by the WIFE!!!! I dont have that problem because I have been avid outdoorsman since I have been married (13 years) and nothing I do is new to my wife so she isn't suprised when I tell her where I am going. But I make a solid effort to make time for my family and its something a guy has to do to keep the families support in their adventures I strong believe this! Although she keeps having me up my Life Insurance as new adventures enter my calendar I find that pretty funny. You should have seen the look on her face the first time I told her I was going grizzly hunting with my bow!WoW that was priceless. Anyway back to the topic there are many factors that come into play when the dollars need to be forked when planning a trip. I fortunately have some buddies now I can count on and that are reliable both for planning the hunt and embarking on it! Pretty good deal. And I finally have a hunt planned for Brownies on the Peninsula this coming spring and all the money has been paid down ,its almost amazing. Just keep your doors open to new people you meet as you never know when you will meet someone whos passion is as strong as yours. Sorry to hear about your hunt falling through.
