In Africa (I have not hunted there, so all this is heresay from those that have), it is a very rare ocassion when meat is taken from the "Trophies". More often than not, all the meat is left for the scavengers. Especially, if they cannot drive the vehicle (from which they often shoot) directly up to the animal.
