Frustrating "FLAKES"
Posted by Brian Richardson on Dec 07 2005
Kinda comical theme... but a good one for venting.

Unquestionably it is frustrating!!!

From the business end of guiding and outfitting folks from all over – I can tell you flakiness is part of the cost of doing business.  Part of the flaky phases I most abhor is having to re-call air transportation I’ve held in reserve in good assurance.  Fortunately if you have been in this business for a long time you know that air taxi services hear this stuff all the time… what stinks is that some air businesses are good friends as well.  It is easy to feel self-conscious when it concerns companies that work all season steadfast to facilitate my operations going so smoothly.  This is not to mention calling upon extra staff, packing additional equipment, added grocery bills, and quality time spent all for not.  Bottom line here for me tho’ (from a business view) is water under the bridge… oh well…  (think homonyms here) Dam them!

Now from a personal standpoint - Flakiness is unpardonable habitually due to the #1 Wasting of ones’ quality time!!!  This is goes beyond possessions and stuff and $$$ spent on equipping, planning, packing, etc.  Importance #1 is the setting aside of valued, personal time.  You can get back all the other bits and pieces --- but you can’t get back the season, maybe good health, THE TIME!
