Oops, I posted this in the wrong place the first time.

I struggle with the fact that hunters are only required to take the skull and hide from bears, except spring black bear. So somehow, somewhere all the justifications, ethics, and reasons we (ADFG and hunters) use in support of salvaging game meat for all other species goes out the window!

To shoot a grizzly taking only the skull and hide is totally legal yet to harvest a moose taking only the skull and hide is illegal. You guys ever ponder on that one? Just so you know, I have taken both a grizz and a moose and salvaged the required portions. It's something to think about and I am curious to hear your reasoning for why we can totally disregard meat salvage on one big game animal and not on others. I think I posted this question before and got zero response. Not sure if it got overlooked in a long thread or if you fellas don't want to try and justify that one! I don't even know where I stand.
