I agree.I personally know 4 people who have been mauled and nearly killed plus there have been several more attacks here in SE with several fatalities.I also know first hand friends who have escaped mauling and possibly death by being quick with their gun and shear luck. A couple of these later attacks, the bear literally died on the charge, mere feet from where they stood. JIMHO,when you go in the field in Alaska, the hair on the back of your neck best be standing up just a bit.
