Posted by twodux on Dec 13 2005 Coming from Texas it might be easiest for you to head up to Edmonton, Alberta, then over to Dawson Creek where you'll be on the main route. Then you'll hit Ft. St. Johns BC, Ft. Nelson BC, Watson Lake Yukon, Whitehorse Yukon, Beaver Creek Yukon(Canadian Border town), Tok Junction, Alaska, Glennallen, Palmer, Anchorage, and Soldotna. Those are the places to get gas and lodging if it's not an emergency. There will be other places, but the prices will be higher. Ft. St. John has some reasonable rates on rooms. They have a pretty transient work force there. I got a decent room there three years ago for $35 Canadian and it came with a continental breakfast. Don't stay at the Pink Mountain Motel between Ft. St. John and Ft Nelson. It's overpriced and horrible accomadations. Previous: Where you coming from Bats 44 Dec 23 2005 Next: Which Route???????? wildwilltx Dec 13 2005 Message Thread:
