I was reading "the wilderness of Denali" by C. Sheldon in which he writes of his wildlife observations from the early 1900s. One of them he speaks of, is this direct quote from the book.....

"......it has become clear to me that after being frightened by scent, moose go much further without stopping than when frightened by sight."

Unquote

I dont have the first hand experience myself as to that therory, but offer this for opinions.....

I guess I can buy it. Anyone got a story to share on spooking a moose, then continue to try and hunt it?...
