Ahhh, the great white hunter theory. Sooth the conscience of the rich head hunter who shoots way more game than he can possibly use. He can pretend he's helping the poor natives by coming in and shooting an animal he doesn't need, for a trophy, and giving it to the locals as if they can't get it themselves. And he can go home and  brag how he helped those poor people survive, and have a trophy to boot. Hunting welfare. After a while, they'll forget how to do it themselves and come to depend on the great white hunter. If he'd just stay home, I bet they'd get along just fine without him. And they'd feel better about themselves because they would be learning skills besides just taking handouts.
