Mile 85 and beyond
Posted by Skrat on Dec 26 2005
Hi back! Merry Christmas. Thanks for the reply.
I just got back from spending two days searching for caribou. You are right; the road was great up to Chicken. There were some people running trucks past there with chains but it didn't look nearly as good as the road south of Chicken. I saw caribou on Fairplay but of course that area is closed to hunting. I saw a few gut piles north of Chicken but I failed to spy any caribou roaming around. I saw one area where a bunch crossed the road (headed East) and that was it. So, I'm bummed. Any additional pointers if I attempt again? Thanks!
