Caribou at Carrs, Part II
Posted by Ak Steve on Dec 28 2005
Just as an aside, I don't advocate any of the means I described in my post, nor do I wish to use those means.
The best hunt I have ever been on was a mountain goat hunt with my six year old son.  I had a billy in my sights with my little boy right next to me.  I didn't shoot it.  He asked why, and I explained that it was too late to recover the animal before nightfall and I was afraid it would snow overnight.  He seemed ok with that, and I was right; everything was white and slippery the next day.
That was a hunt.  If I wanted a full freezer we could have gone and shot a bison in a cage.  That is something totally different.
