rain gear woes
Posted by fullkurl on Dec 28 2005
Ptarmigan, if you're hunting the brush country in Devils club or rose hip for a month consider a wet suit :), otherside many of us mountain hunters use Marmot's PRECIP gear--its incredibly light and keeps the water out as well as anything out there. Its relatively cheap too. Gore tex is great--for moose hunting!
I was BONE DRY on Kodiak this year goat hunting in a tough four-day storm wtih sideways rain and 80mph winds. I've never been wet in Precip gear-ever.
Good Luck.
Frank
