I have the pleasure of introducing hunters from all over the country to the innate beauty and natural wonders of NC's Pamlico Sound and Lake Mattumuskeet each winter. Some of these folks are stone cold hunters, others relative newbies or once-a-year hunters. The only thing I like better than participating in a really good diver shoot is taking a fellow who's only ever seen tame mallards and little woodies and watching his eyes bug out when the bluebills and redheads come in thick!

My dad was stationed in AK over 40 years ago, but he remembers it like it was yesterday. He's not so dreamy about anything else. You folks in Alaska have all that goodness to enjoy, and it's nice to know that many of you still care to share the wealth. Thanks for a lively and thoughtful discussion!
