Float hunting out of Kotz
Posted by Broomedram on Dec 29 2005
I guess I will be one of the several hunderd people headed to Kotzebue next fall to hunt caribou. The two buddies I am going with desperately want a caribou and maybe a blackie. I would shoot the right caribou but  am really looking for grizzly or moose.
I know its a plate full, but I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the area out of Kotzebue that might lead to this type of hunt. We would like to try a float if we could narrow down a couple stretch of water. Has anyone floated the Kobuk, Noatak or Squirrel? Or tributary there of?
Also still shopping for an air service in the area.(unguided un-outfitted service). Any info would be great. Thanks Tom

Next: Thanks Broomedram Jan 01 2006
