been there.......
Posted by docdb on Dec 31 2005
I went on a sheep hunt this year in the Brooks, and took both the Rivers West and some Integral Designs eVent rain gear (similar to the Marmot PreCip gear).  On the first climb, I had to stop, drop pack, and completely redress after about 100 yards of climbing.  I had been nice and warm around the tents in the Rivers West gear, but when the climb started, it was quickly apparent things had to change.  I ended up believing that the best way to climb was with my smart wool ultra light undies, with raingear over them.  Then redress when you get to the top.  Just my limited experience.
