[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] managment Posted by BRWNBR on Jan 07 2006 I think wolf control from planes has its place. i see bushrats and twodux point however. Once a population has been decimated due to winters, hunters, wolves and bears I don't think it will hinder us any to help the population rebuild. I know where i guide, i might see three moose a year now, maybe. i'll see over 80 bears but very very few moose. it used to be one of the best moose areas in the state ten years ago, and the majority of it is inaccessable, no fourwheelers, planes or people. just bears and wolves. Now the sheep are going downhill rather quickly, i've heard bad stories from the headwaters of the talkeetna river about lamb survival and have seen the carcasses myself. i guess the question is, how long do we watch and when we get involved....how much?
