Yep, I know it is not sexy, but in my opinion,

The little coleman Apex is the best stove out there for lots of reasons.

1) Simple to use - no heat shield, multiple parts to assemble, etc.
2) Fuel availability - white gas or unleaded gas with no change to the regulator--if you fly into a small village and they have no white gas, you can use regular old gasoline

3) Fuel - the bottle that comes with the unit will support two guys eating dehydrated food for five days easy
4) Availability of parts -  just about any sporting good store has some spare parts for it
5) Price - at about $60 you are not going to cry if you lose it or crush it, or whatever

I have an MSR(older one) and I use my Coleman Apex stove a lot more.
