Posted by Michael Strahan on Feb 06 2006 Friendship is a rare commodity and I'd be foolish to toss yours away over something so small as this. It's been an interesting discussion and you've gotten me thinking again. Once I started looking, I realized that there have been others who met a similar fate, yet for some reason they didn't receive nearly the negative press as Mr. Treadwell. If he'd been less "in-your-face", if he'd had his act together socially, if he wasn't perceived as a failure in other areas of his life, I think people would have been kinder to him and to his memory. But he was passionate about his work, and was willing to pay the highest price for what he believed in. Not many of us can truly say we'd be willing to do the same, can we? Not many causes out there worth dying for (there ARE some, though). Previous: Still friends? Bigmnt Feb 06 2006 Next: 2 things Cliffhanger Feb 04 2006 Message Thread:
