sheep tags in 14c
Posted by BRWNBR on Feb 07 2006
i'm convinced the state has us bowhunters over a barrell thinking we got something special with these tags. but i know very very few who have actually stuck and arrow in one of those sheep back there. i seen alot of really nice ram in the twin peaks closed area during archery season. But have heard reports much like the ones here, lots of people, i seen 15 planes come off the strip at the end of the lake on the last day of season last year. so don't think flying it will do you anything special. hunting harder than the other 40 guys out there is what will help. scouting won't do to much, those sheep move so much there'll be there one day and on pioneer peak the next.

In my opinion a special bow tag would start august 1 and run till the 10th. then we would actaully have some odds and getting some sheep down before the guns start going off...anyone in on that idea? i know in canada they start hunting sheep in july...and why not?
