Always makes me nervous leaving my ATV in there, but I'm nervous leaving my truck in the parking lot anymore too.  I do know that the Park Ranger travels the trail pretty much every day and writes down the numbers from the required registration on the ATV's.  He's pretty thorough and speaks many people on their way in or out.
