I didn't think there were any gun hunts in the Eklutna bowl itself - bow hunters only.  However, with the movement of the sheep in there you speak of, I suppose shooting in the surrounding hunt areas affect what's being hunted in the bowl too.  I know those rams on Twin Peaks you speak of are not shy of humans.  I was within bow range of them a couple of years ago and they new I was there.
