[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Helicopter logic Posted by B_M on Feb 08 2006 DR B - You really don't see the logic behind this? If helicopter-aided hunting was allowed, those with access to helicopters would have an incredible advantage in taking huge rams. Yeah, those that have access to planes already have an advantage, but it's NOTHING like the advantage to be had with a helicopter. What's to stop someone from just hovering there next to a huge ram and blasting from the chopper? Or from landing on otherwise inaccessible peaks now only hunted by those who are truly driven to put in 50 miles of hiking? There wouldn't be any truly large rams left in a short matter of time if helicopter hunting were allowed. (OK, well...maybe that's not the case...but it certainly wouldn't be a good thing for 99.9% of hunters.)
