It was constructed with public funds, for one porpose, To Obtain Reasonable Access To Public Resources. Whether it be oil, minerals, game, fish or the land it self. Some see ruts/scars, others see trails/access. Some see deer, others see venison. That is just the way it is. If you are not interested in consuming the bounty in the area, then don't, but I would not tread on one's privelege to reap(not rape it) it, within the guidelines and laws set forth. We all heard this same sort of negative, Chicken Little rhetoric, when the oil companies wanted to start drilling the arctic. Let's not forget the vast parks in Alaska for those wanting the "Wilderness" experience. I feel it is a positive response to the peoples wishes.
