AKH,

This isn't the first time we've disagreed and probably won't be the last.  I'm sure if we met in the field though, and neither of us knew who the other was, we'd probably get along just fine (you may disagree :-))  I don't think either of us is the jerk we sometimes appear to be online.  The internet is a lousy tool for good communication, and if you combine that with how easy it is to be anonymous and fire shots at people you've never met, well... it's surprising we don't have more conflict than we do.

I'm sorry to have offended you with my post.  It was a poor attempt at humor by characterizing ATV hunters as too lazy to cruise the haul road when they could do it from the comfort of their pickup or SUV.  I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm exaggerating to make a point.  Obviously not everyone who owns an ATV is a slob.  Obviously not every young buck in the military is out there tearing the place up.  I know these things.

My only point in all this is to express my opposition to opening this area to ATV use.  I believe this piece of legislation is a big mistake.  We may disagree about that, but that doesn't mean that either of us is a jerk, a self-absorbed snob, or what have you.  It just means we disagree.  That's okay.

-Mike
