I think I've only siwashed once ( you might want to explain that term to the non res, Mike). I don't want to do it again. Mid sept. Clear, fairly cold. Had to make the camp after dark. Not much firewood. No food, or very little. Long cold night.
As little as a sleeping bag and a tarp would have made all the difference.
