I started my not so famous Alaskan hunting career with my dad's sporterized Springfield 30-06, a K4 Weaver and post cross hair. Used 150 gr. Silvertips for caribou and 220 gr. Silvertips for moose. I don't remember re-sighting for either load. Hey, I was young. Still have the rifle but it's been sitting for many years. I should use it again some day. What was your first big game rifle?
