Mine was a Rem 700BDL .243. I got it when I was 9. Now that I think about it I Don't think my parents could really aford the rifle but bought it anyway. Killed my first deer with it that year. I still shoot it some every year. It makes me feel good just to hold it. My wife killed her first deer with it also. Her first rifle is a Browning A-bolt Micro Hunter (left handed) in 7mm-08. She killed a huge 10 point whitetail with it this year and plans on usuing it on our Maine Black bear hunt in September.
