[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] wolves Posted by swampdonkey on Feb 14 2006 I know for a fact that several wolves have been taken by moose hunters "cow" calling. Predator calling might work for a single wolf, but if a pack is together, little bunnies aren't gonna feed the crew!!They want something worth chewing on. The moose calling doesn't do much for ya now, but keep it in mind. Also, recently, an avid wolf trapper (22 this winter already)told me that one of the most surefire ways to up your chances on tagging a wolf is (especially in winter), to find where they pee. Even if YOU think it's an odd spot, set up a trap or wait patiently, they will be by again. (Providing you still exercise scent, noise discipline, etc..)I hope it works for you, but they ARE 2 proven methods. Good luck...
