Besides the gas, another potential problem with game meat is that those with gout can't eat much of it.  A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with gout and his doctor told him not to eat game meat.  It's really a bummer too, as he was starting to get really excited about learning how to hunt these next few years.  I was going to take him out for the first time next fall, but now...  Bummer.
