Acquired Taste
Posted by JKD on Feb 17 2006
I've had sheep and it IS great, but my all-time favorite is Sitka Blacktailed deer (and preferably does or button-head bucks). Next on my list is young bison. I've had both good and bad of moose and caribou (mostly due to handling and time of the year), and a couple of times had muskox and was very impressed with the latter.

I think the appreciation of wild game meat tastes is an acquired "taste" - my own mind registers disappointment at "gamey" taste, but I still appreciate the benefits of wild game meats and the hard work that goes into bringing a mild cut to the dinner table.  Good hunting!
