wild meat
Posted by The One That Got Away on Feb 17 2006
I know I am probably alone on this one, but I would have to say the best wild meat I ever had was caribou a buddy of mine shot in early spring off the slope.  So tender and mild on the grill I thought I was eating veal.  I have never had the fortune of eating sheep, so that puts me at a disadvantage.  fresh moose and and bison over a wood fire is a very close second.

Anyone ever have a ruffed grouse on a stick over a fire
