Sheep is tied with cow elk from Kodiak both marinated in teriyaki sauce, Bison and Musk Ox are number three. I only had Musk Ox once and it was delicious, but I only had it once so I can't bump it up to the tried and true. One other thing that has been overlooked and is worth mentioning. Young Goat. I know most people target the big old billies but a friend of mine harvested a young goat and it was exquisite. Every bit as good as elk, sheep, or blacktail. Not the least bit tough.
