[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Rifle makes Posted by LaneW on Feb 22 2006 Tikka T3 Lite and Browning A bolt are 2 of my favorites. Tikka is slightly lighter and a better buy usually. Both tend to be very accurate out of the box. I like the tang safeties and clip magazine. The remington 700 stainless tends to accurate out of the box. the 700 Titanium does not tend to be accurate out of the box in my experience. The Winchester 70 stainless featherweight seems to kick harder in the same weight and caliber to me. The Rugers tend to be a little heavier and a few years ago their accuracy seemed to be less than the others. The Savages tend to be a good buy and the accutrigger sounds very good but my only personal experience is with a stainless heavy barrel .223 model (pre-accutrigger) which has been a real tackdriver but heavy. Those are the only stainless steel ones I have had personal experience with. Previous: Rifles alaska bush man Feb 22 2006 Next: I'll 2nd that... Jeff L Feb 23 2006 Message Thread:
