[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] packs Posted by viktor on Feb 24 2006 I have a barneys pack that is 15 years old. I just gave it to my son last year. The reason being is i bought another barneys pack that has the titanium frame. Heavy straps and the full real thick wrap around shoulder pads and the rifle slip in scabbarb. Yes it was very expensive and yes i did haul out 120 pounds of caribou in it and i was as comfortable as one could get under that weight. I also used it on a 10 day sheep hunt and it rode very well. The rifle sits very tight and is well protected. About the only draw back was it seems that a fair amount of sweat built up in the back, but it was hot. I truly used my other pack very hard and the only reason i switched is my son needed a pack and i liked the way the new ones felt with the straps on my mid 40 body. I would recomend nothing else!
