Here's a great read-

One of my personal favorites is "Look to the Wilderness" by Douglas Burden. It contains accounts of several Alaska hunts around the turn of the century. Excellent read. Out of print now, but you can find them on the used market. I've bought a few copies now and then for hunters I've guided. It also contains stories of hunts in other areas.
