Buy a cheap, but warm, hooded coat, big enough to wear a fleece jacket under. When you get to Barrow, you'll se alot of folks wearing homemade parkas. If your going to be out in the country, get a locally made parka. If you want something for work situations and around town........carhart stuff is good.
Last week the temp in Barrow was 30 above.
