My first hunting rifle was a model 7, 7mm-08, and it performed flawlessly. With factory ammo I regularly shot 1/4" groupings. On my first Caribou hunt, it shot straight and I enjoyed my first big game kill with it. I still have that rifle, it still performs well, and when I have kids, it will be what I take them out with. An excellent choice.
