Both are good rifles, but to me each has it's advantages.

Ruger
-comes with rings
-dependable action

Tikka
-smooth action and bolt lift
-more choice in calibers

I want to get a lightweight, stainless, synthetic bolt action.  Both of these are in my price range.  I was looking at the Remington Mountain rifle, but I'm not a big fan of laminated stocks.  Didn't they use to make the mountain rifle in synthetic?

I need an opinion on these.
